James' story
I heard voices telling me to hurt myself. Now I'm looking to get a part-time job.
I first started hearing voices telling me to hurt myself by running into the road or stabbing myself. The voices said that people were out to get me, and that people were staring at me. I felt I was being watched by neighbours through cameras that were hanging outside my window.

The worst point was when the voices were so loud that I was feeling very depressed and that life wasn’t worth living anymore and that I may as well do what they were telling me to. I felt everyone hated me.

About psychosis
After seeing the crisis team, I went into hospital to recover and to change medication. Now I’m back living in my flat and looking to go to Uni or get a part time job. The EIP service have been very supportive in recovering from this illness and helping me to get back to life after an episode of psychosis.
